Job Description

- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to the restaurant's menu and quality standards
- Manage a specific section of the kitchen, such as sauces, fish, or pastry
- Ensure all mise en place is completed to the highest standard before service
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in menu planning and development
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in your section
- Monitor and maintain stock levels for your station, placing orders when necessary
- Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth service and timely food delivery
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the kitchen
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-quality restaurant or hotel
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques
- Excellent food preparation skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment and following recipes
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and team coordination skills
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when required
