      As Chef de Partie, you'll be responsible for leading the kitchen, maintaining high standards in food preparation and presentation. You'll work closely with our culinary leaders to deliver consistent, quality dishes while supporting and mentoring junior team members to help develop their skills.

      Job Description

      We’re looking for a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join our vibrant kitchen team at Peppers Marysville. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who’s passionate about quality food, thrives in a team environment, and takes pride in delivering consistently high standards.

      As Chef de Partie, you’ll be involved in all aspects of kitchen operations – preparing and presenting well-executed, flavourful dishes that showcase local and seasonal ingredients. You’ll also contribute to a smooth and efficient service, support junior team members, and uphold the standards that define our guest experience.

      What you’ll do:

      • Prepare and cook dishes across a variety of service styles, including à la carte and events
      • Maintain strong food safety and hygiene practices at all times
      • Collaborate with the team to develop creative, seasonal menu items
      • Mentor and guide junior chefs, encouraging professional growth
      • Help ensure smooth communication and workflow during service

      Qualifications

      About you:

      • You have relevant trade qualifications and experience working in a professional kitchen, ideally within a hotel or similar environment
      • You're confident in à la carte service and take pride in delivering high-quality dishes under pressure
      • You understand and consistently apply food safety and hygiene standards
      • You’re service-minded with great attention to detail and presentation
      • Strong time management and the ability to stay organised in a busy kitchen come naturally to you
      • You’re adaptable, open to feedback, and able to navigate change with a positive attitude
