      The business line Natural Resources - Oil, Gas & Chemicals conducts port-related inspections and checks for clients operating in the oil and (petro)chemical sector. We are the market leader in this field and offer the widest range of inspections and checks in the (petro)chemical sector.

      This department began in the 1960s in one of the world's largest ports, Rotterdam. To ensure quality, extremely high standards are set for the execution of all activities. We have an exciting job opportunity for a Chemical Analyst in our chemistry laboratory in Spijkenisse!

      Job Description

      As a Chemical Analyst, you will independently perform analyses on a wide range of liquid chemicals and gases. This includes alcohols, aromatics, acids, customer-specific products, and various industrial gases.

      You will utilize a diverse and interesting set of analytical techniques (GC, ICP, titrations, various instrumental and physical techniques). Additionally, the sample workload is highly variable. All of this makes this role versatile, dynamic, fascinating, and challenging.

      The laboratory is ISO9001 certified and ISO17025 accredited.

      You will work in a 5-shift rotation and join a team of approximately 20 analysts, ranging from KMLO to HLO levels. The work atmosphere can be best described as open and productive.

      Qualifications

      You have knowledge of various chemical and physical laboratory techniques and a good command of the English language.

      We'd like to see the following experience on your CV:

      - Completed MLO education supplemented with several years of work experience

      or

      - Completed HLO education
