      Job Title: Chemical Handler, Logistics Department

      Job Description

      Join our team as a Chemical Handler, working from 6am to 6pm on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and every other Wednesday. You will assist in the warehouse, wearing a bunny suit and chemical safety PPE, while following written procedures and verbal directions accurately. Your role includes handling chemicals directly, moving them around the warehouse, and using pallet jacks to transport large materials throughout the facility storage areas.

      Responsibilities

      • Handle chemicals directly and move them within the warehouse as needed.
      • Follow written procedures and verbal directions accurately according to the daily flow chart outlining rotations through different positions during the shift.
      • Communicate effectively within a team and follow defined processes.
      • Use pallet jacks to move large materials throughout facility storage areas.
      • Correctly store chemicals and other materials in their designated areas, ensuring adherence to labeling processes.
      • Follow all FIFO practices by monitoring labels and expiration dates.
      • Uphold all safety guidelines and report any concerns to supervisors.
      • Complete all paperwork and necessary documentation correctly using a manual system requiring strong attention to detail.

      Essential Skills

      • Proven ability to communicate effectively within a team environment.
      • Proven ability to follow strict processes.
      • Understanding of 'First In First Out' process for stored materials and expiration dates.
      • Comfortable working with and around chemicals for the entire shift.
      • Previous experience in a logistics or chemical handling role.
      • Computer proficiency to complete documentation for received or used materials.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Comfortable wearing safety-required PPE including cleanroom suits and safety-approved shoes.
      • Ability to walk, lift, and move for the majority of the shift.
      • Team player with the ability to 'divide and conquer' tasks with peers and supervisors.
      • Completed reference check with previous lead or supervisor.

      Work Environment

      The role is within a semiconductor manufacturing company with cleanrooms throughout the facility. While not directly in the cleanroom at all times, workers will primarily be in the loading dock or chemical storage area. Hazardous materials are present, requiring adherence to safety guidelines and the wearing of cleanroom and safety PPE. The internal areas are climate controlled, and employees should be prepared for occasional outdoor loading dock activities.

      Job Type & Location

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaverton, Oregon.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.50/hr.
