      POSITION OVERVIEW
      This position is responsible for learning and performing routine and non-routine chemical and instrumental
      analyses. This role will provide analytical support and will be responsible for interpretation of results and providing
      reports to key stakeholders.


      TARGETED OUTCOMES
       On time and ready to work in area with appropriate PPE at start of shift and actively participates in shift
      turnover meeting.
       Successfully and efficiently complete daily job responsibilities safely and communicate well with Sr.
      Technician and Instrumentation Technicians on quality deviations observed on samples and/or instruments.
       Becomes proficient in all area job tasks with the goal to train to the highest level in area.
       All job tasks are carried out with quality in mind to ensure samples are correctly analyzed on instruments in
      good working condition.
       Helps document timely and accurately sample quality and instrument performance in LIMS and SPC charts.


      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
       Works safely at all times to ensure safety of self and of team members
       Obtains samples from process area and receives samples in LIMS/Sample Manager
       Performs accurate analysis following appropriate Standard Test Methods, Special Instructions, or
      Procedure Briefs, as it may apply, and reports data in timely manner
       Records data properly in logbooks, clipboard sheets, and/or LIMS/Sample Manager
       Ensures that all equipment is calibrated and in specification before analyzing samples
       Follows instrument and equipment check procedures, troubleshoots when needed, and reports any
      equipment problem as soon as possible
       Exercising good housekeeping, including replenishing supplies, cleaning bench area, checking and ensure
      lab ware cleanliness and readiness for use
       Ensures proper storage or disposal of samples after analysis, as well as proper waste handling

       Team Members: Technicians

      REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
       Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field strongly preferred OR Associate’s degree plus 2 – 4 years of
      experience in analytical chemistry lab
       2 – 4 years of relevant experience in analytical chemistry lab including hands-on experience with titration,
      ICP, GC, TOC, LC is highly desirable
       Experience in manufacturing environment is preferred


      REQUIRED SKILLS
       Ability to read charts, graphs, Standard Test Methods, Special Instructions, and Procedure Briefs
       Fundamental understanding of chemistry, ie, chemical names, reactions, chemical equations, periodic table,
      weighing, pipetting, titrations, etc.
       Advanced mathematical skills and ability to calculate average, percentages ratio, and metric conversations
       Basic to moderate knowledge of Microsoft office applications
       Ability to learn and use LIMS/Sample Manager
       Demonstrated attention to detail
       Strong interpersonal skills
       Confidence to suggestions
       Driven for results with demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute work to meet needs and timelines
       Demonstrated problem-solving ability
       Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt to changing demands
       Knowledge of quality systems (ISO:9001) and requirements – able to ensure consistency of operations within
      the established quality system guidelines
