      To launch our Queens schools, we are searching for Chess Teachers with a Bachelor’s degree, at least 1-2+ years of teaching experience, and mastery of Chess.

      Responsibilities:

      • Execute a vision of excellence in Chess, working with leaders and teammates to craft inquiry-based and rigorous lessons that inspire critical thinking and problem-solving in all students
      • Build a classroom culture that fosters students’ genuine love for learning and creates a sense of community for our families
      • Assist with whole-school initiatives and provide instructional support as needed
      • Use-data driven approaches and teaching resources to drive student achievement
      • Develop authentic, meaningful relationships with students and families to support student growth
      • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in weekly professional development opportunities with leaders and colleagues to benefit from feedback that will help you grow as an educator
      • Lead a strong after-school Chess program that furthers students' passion and skill set

      The start date for this position is July 28, 2025. The salary range for this position is between $62,000 and $94,000. New hires can expect to be brought into the organization at a salary at or near the start of the range, depending on relevant experience teaching Chess in schools and internal equity. Compensation is based on our salary scales.
