      Job Description

      OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

      The Chief Accountant for Belarus will be responsible for ensuring the organization of accounting processes managed from TBS Lodz for Belarus are in compliance with local standards and reporting requirements. Reporting to the MCO TuRC Finance Head.

      ACCOUNTABILITIES

      • As the Chief Accountant role for Belarus, responsible for preparation and submission of financial statements, ensuring correctness and timeliness of reporting.
      • Monitor accounting methodology and reporting rules in accordance with local and international standards, compliance with all internal accounting policies and procedures for Takeda Belarus.
      • Maintains control over the accuracy, correctness and timelines of accounting of all business transactions in compliance with the law for Takeda Belarus
      • Analyzes draft of Agreements on the financial side and compliance with tax law
      • Prepares tax, statistical, other local statutory reports, ensures timely submission to the relevant authorities
      • Key person pending Tax, other local Authorities, Internal and External Audits from finance in Belarus
      • Payroll calculation along with controls and process coordination for Belarus office
      • Collaborate with range of TBS cross functional departments
      • TBS Accounting & Controlling business partnering with internal and external process stakeholders
      • Identification and support of implementation of processes improvements to create internal efficiencies while control and reporting delivery is not compromised
      • Support and delivery of regional strategic projects and initiatives

      DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS

      Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

      • 5 years or above of Accounting and Reporting hands-on experience gained within a large multi-national organization
      • In depth knowledge of document flow requirements, local deadlines and rules of accounting, tax, statutory reporting
      • Deep knowledge of local and international standards, tax and finance laws of Belarus
      • Ability to lead projects
      • Ability to design process and improvement

      • Ability to speak up and focus management attention in case of potential question marks
      • Understands the business and the interdependencies to respectfully challenge using facts and to anticipate the needs.
      • Establishes and maintain an operational relationship with the TBS teams to educate on financial reporting interdependencies for Belarus
      • Identifies and delivers process improvement opportunities
      • Act as a change agent, drive TBS culture and mindset

      • Key Point of Contact for Belarus state authorities
      • Ability to manage the external third-party suppliers. Examples include local Banks, External Audit or External Vendors

      EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

      Experience & Education

      • Higher education in Finance or Accounting field
      • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent), with 5+ years of work experience in Accounting and Reporting
      • 5 years and above experience in multinational environment is required
      • Intermediate English
      • Deep knowledge of local and international standards, tax and finance laws of Belarus
      • Deep knowledge of document flow requirements, local deadlines and rules of accounting, tax, statutory reporting
