      Position Summary:
      The Chief Advancement Officer & Campaign Director is responsible for directing a comprehensive campaign, including the internal day-to-day campaign management and external campaign relationship with the Board of Trustees and the Campaign Committee.

      Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Work with the Director of Development, Head of School, Campaign Co-Chairs, and volunteers to provide leadership, direction, and motivation for the successful completion of a $100 M campaign.

      • Assist in the articulation of the campaign philosophy, the interpretation of the financial needs, and the strategy for the campaign.

      • Oversee the refinement of the case statement for the campaign.

      • Maintain and solicit a portfolio of 20-40 nucleus and leadership phase prospects.

      • Direct the organization and planning of the campaign steering committee. Assist the chair, key volunteers, and administrative leadership in the selection, enlistment, and cultivation of volunteers for the campaign organization.

      • Organize and conduct leadership and committee training at all levels as required.

      • Work with the Director of Major Gifts in the identification and segmentation of campaign prospects. Coordinate prospect management and tracking activities. Oversee all elements of planning, organization of prospect cultivation/solicitation with consultation, and involvement by campaign volunteers and major gifts staff.

      • Coordinate with major giving officers to solicit gifts for the campaign.

      • Work with the Director of Communications to implement a campaign marketing plan and to develop communications plans and materials for campaign activities.

      • Track and report on the progress of all campaign updates to the Advancement Committee of the Board of Trustees and the Board as a whole.

      • Manage campaign operations. Develop and implement the campaign budget.

      • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

      Qualifications


      • Bachelor’s degree required.

      • 5+ years of progressive experience in non-profit or educational fundraising

      • Management Experience

      • Proven ability to network; to develop cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies; to conduct in-person and virtual prospect/donor visits; and to successfully close gifts for capital, endowment, and annual support with minimal oversight. International fundraising experience preferred.

      • Exceptional oral, written, telephone, and email communication skills; ability to effectively articulate the mission of the school and provide a compelling case for support to a variety of constituents.

      • Sound judgment and strong interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships with prospects/donors and to manage and motivate volunteers.

      • Well-developed strategic, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, as well as strong attention to detail and accuracy.

      • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to be self-directed and highly motivated to meet deadlines in a time-sensitive, fluid environment.

      • Understanding and support of Saint Andrew’s mission and the institution’s funding priorities.

      • Ability to build collaborative relationships with colleagues, volunteers, and prospective and current donors in order to foster effective, reciprocal communication and promote a collegial environment.

      • Ability to navigate change and manage challenges in a positive and professional manner.

      • Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with proprietary information and sensitive situations.

      • Ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and promote a positive work environment.

      • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

      • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Suite, and Raiser’s Edge.

      • Commitment to a growth mindset and continuous professional development.

      Physical Demands: Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, and for the majority of the work day. May be required to lift up to 25lbs.
