- Design, own and manage the compliance program for the segment (and their JVs as applicable), and ensure adequate policies, procedures and controls are effectively in place;
- Drive and facilitate compliance ownership by leaders through regular Compliance Review Board meetings and other regular rhythms;
- Ensure a strong culture of open reporting, oversee ombuds and investigations and ensure timely closure of cases;
- Gather and analyze compliance-related data and construct strategic responses;
- Partner with functional teams and leaders to ensure effective implementation of all applicable Corporate Enterprise Standards;
- Responsible for overseeing a monitoring program in line with the requirements outlined in the S&L Enterprise Standards;
- Own and perform risk assessment and abatement, including forward-looking identification of emerging or unappreciated Compliance risks;
- Stay up to date on new laws and regulations and ensuring compliance through functional partnerships and process reviews;
- Work with various stakeholders including business CEOs, commercial, sourcing, HR, finance to understand business strategy and provide insight to prevent, detect, and respond to compliance risks;
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in compliance, law, internal audit, controllership, or related field, preferably in a global, multi-cultural environment;
- J.D./Master’s degree preferred but not required;
- Experience in leading a global program;
- Professional fluency in English
- Foreign language skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and work effectively with senior leaders;
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills;
- Very solid business acumen;
- Strong process and analytical skills and organizational skills with a focus on risk assessment and mitigation;
- Broad knowledge of legal/compliance risk areas;
- Advanced Word, Power Point and Excel skills;
- Strong people leadership skills; ability to coordinate program and inspire others to perform in a matrixed environment;
- Ability to interface effectively with senior business and functional leaders throughout the organization;
- Self-motivated with ability to handle large and varied program management aspects simultaneously, to multitask, and to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Excellent independent judgment, strength to stand by difficult decisions;
- Ability to work in a boundaryless environment, think strategically and perform constantly and effectively under pressure when required;
Job Description Summary
This position has full responsibility and accountability for planning, implementing and monitoring the Compliance Program for the Wind segment of GE Vernova. The role will be directly responsible for Onshore Wind, Offshore Wind, and will oversee the compliance program at LM Wind Power. This is a key leadership role for the function with responsibilities that have a significant impact on both the compliance function and the broader employee population within Wind. This is a senior role requiring strategic vision and superb execution skills to deliver, simple effective and audit-ready compliance processes for both culture and core risk areas.
Note: The LM Wind Power compliance leader will continue to report through the LM Wind Power organization due to the need for separation between the Onshore Wind & LM Wind Power businesses.Job Description
