The Chief Investment Officer and Head of Investments Products Group is responsible for the overall growth and strategy of the Private Banking Investment division. In this role they will be responsible for developing and implementing the overall investment strategy for macro-economic, geopolitical investment themes and asset allocation. This role is responsible for tactical & strategic thought leadership and is the face that interacts with media, social media, staff and clients. They also will Identify growth opportunities including niche market needs and products that align with expanded investment capabilities. This will be achieved by meeting customers’ needs for solutions that assist them in accumulating, managing and transitioning wealth. Additionally, the CIO and Head of Investment Products will determine the division’s strategy and manage both internal and external partnerships to deliver the required revenue stream to meet business objectives. They will integrate two separate platforms in to one successful overall platform. Lead change management for both sides of the business for overall success of a larger business.
Base Pay Range: $275-436k, plus annual performance-based bonus, offer will be determined based on candidate's individual qualifications and geographical location. Pay Range: Local Minimum Wage - $0.00 - $0.00Job Responsibilities:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership and Thought Leadership :
· Develop and oversee the implementation of the bank's investment strategy for commercial and private banking clients.
· Lead and mentor a team of investment professionals, ensuring alignment with the bank's strategic objectives.
· Produce thought leadership content, including market commentary and investment insights.
· Represent the bank at industry conferences and events.
Market Analysis and Research and Portfolio Management:
· Conduct in-depth analysis of financial markets, economic trends, and investment opportunities.
· Stay updated on global economic developments and their potential impact on investment strategies.
· Design and manage diversified investment portfolios tailored to the needs of commercial and private banking clients.
· Monitor portfolio performance and make adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
Client Advisory:
· Provide expert investment advice to high-net-worth individuals and commercial clients.
· Conduct regular client meetings to review portfolio performance and discuss investment strategies.
Risk Management:
· Identify and mitigate investment risks through comprehensive risk management strategies.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Development and management of Flagstar Private Bank’s Investment Management products and solutions:
· Owner of the strategic plan development and execution of annual plans to accomplish key financial objectives.
· Develop and execute the alignment of two separate platforms.
· Fosters a culture that attracts highly talented and motivated wealth and investment professionals that are able to meet the needs of the Private Bank’s customers. This includes identifying and providing the products necessary for the financial advisors to deliver solutions for multiple customer needs.
· Oversees monthly sales production in conjunction with their direct reports and makes necessary adjustments in execution of activities to meet targets.
· Ensures that all products sold are suitable for the customer’s personal financial situation.
· Develops effective partnerships with all other customer facing business units of Flagstar to identify mutually beneficial opportunities to deepen customer relationships.
· Engages with broker dealer and other key external partners to deliver an exceptional service experience for customers and financial advisors.
· Partners with broker dealer and Compliance to ensure suitability for all products sold and compliance with all securities and insurance industry regulations, policies and procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor's degree required in Business, Finance, Economics or related area of focus. Master's Degree strongly preferred.
· 15+ years' in retail sales required, with some banking experience preferred
· 10+ years' investment sales and wealth management
· 10+ years' recent sales management experience leading, managing, motivating and developing a team to meet & exceed assigned sales goals within a results driven environment (not exclusive to investment sales)

Specialized Knowledge:
· Specific knowledge related to brokerage and related regulations required
· Understanding of banking policies, procedures and functions preferred
