- Marketing Strategy & Program Leadership -- the CMO will be responsible for development, execution, measurement and program optimization of state-of-the-art patient Marketing plans encompassing both new & existing patients in support of a diverse roster of brands.
- Marketing Department Leadership -- the CMO will be responsible for managing the AEG Marketing team that includes experts in Digital Marketing & Website Management, Web Appointment Platforms, Creative / Production, and New Practice Integration.
- Cross Functional & External Leadership -- the CMO will be expected to work across functions and have strong positive relationship with peers and external partners. The CMO will be a member of the AEG Vision Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
- The Chief Marketing Officer reports directly to the CEO.
- Marketing Strategy & Program Leadership
- Collaborate with CEO & key ELT members with Strategy/Program Development & Execution of state-of-the-art marketing plans primarily leveraging digital tools (e.g. Google AdWords, SEO), website optimization, and digital eye exam appointment platforms (e.g. ZocDoc, Healthgrades, Yelp, WebMD). Strategy will encompass 360-degree approach inclusive of all AEG New & Existing (Recall) programs.
- Ongoing Measurement & Optimization of all AEG Vision marketing programs / program mix based on data-driven ROIs, KPIs, and Customer Acquisition Costs (CAC) trends. This includes recall programs aimed at existing patients (e.g. Call Center, Email Campaigns, Text) and marketing programs specifically targeted to new patients. The CMO will also assess all non-digital vehicles (e.g. Radio, DM, VOD, P.R., Local Events) to determine future direction of these programs.
- Ownership of Optical Category Research and Key Competitor trends. Member of the Vision Council (Industry Trade Group)
- Support for People Operations, Practice Operations, Corporate Development (e.g. Video, Website, Field Materials).
- Marketing & Recall Department Leadership
- Lead a department of 13 Marketing Professionals that includes support for: Digital (3), Production (5), Project Coordination (2), Integration of New Practices (2) programs.
- Assess Marketing Department talent pool, processes and current / future support needs and recommend action plans.
- Lead AEG Vision's Recall programs in close partnership with AEG's 150+ person Call Center's leadership and AEG's Operations & Technology Teams.
- Manage key external marketing agency relationships.
- Cross Functional & External Leadership
- CMO will develop strong positive working relationships with key executive peers / partners (and their departments) across the organization. AEG is a very collaborative working environment where "people first" is a core value.
- CMO will be a polished advocate for AEG's brand(s) and marketing programs. CMO will be called on to present programs to multiple audiences including: Investors, PE Partner, BOD, Field Leadership, and AEG's ELT.
- 15 to 20 years of Marketing experience - with a significant amount of time in senior roles.
- Deep Digital Marketing knowledge with an emphasis on SEO/SEM (Google AdWords), Website Development, E-Mail & Text Campaigns and Healthcare-related programs.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action.
- A results-oriented mindset that combines a "bias for action" with a focus on achieving measured outcomes and driving business growth.
- Exceptional leadership with interpersonal skills that will deliver a consistent track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
- Collaborative partner capable of working across functions, ELT peers and other external parties.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience with acquisitions, integrations and "buy & build" businesses preferred .
- Experience in Practice-Based, Multi-site Health Care related business preferred .
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field. Master's degree preferred .
