Job Summary: Supervises the performance of work in one or more areas of the Laboratory. Supervises Medical Technicians, Laboratory Assistants, and Phlebotomists in the Laboratory Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities. Also supervises volunteer and intern staff when needed.

Regulatory and Education Requirements:

• MT (ASCP) or equivalent registry required for general Lab.
• Bachelors degree with Medical technology, chemical, physical, or biological science.
• HT or HTL registry required for pathology supervisor.
• Current certification by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent required.

Experience:

• 3 years of related Laboratory experience. Strong knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, and repair appropriate for the areas of responsibility.
