- Bachelor’s Degree, Graduate degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of service in a senior advisor position or a director or a department or division.
- Outstanding project management skills, including a high capacity for multi-tasking and the ability and willingness to take full ownership of projects and work with wide discretion toward completion.
- Excellent written, analytical, quantitative, organization and communication skills.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a record of successfully managing complex problems and initiatives.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Preferred experience:
- Previous experience with non-profit organizations or government departments\divisions.
- Knowledge of NYC contracting processes.
Founded in 1993, CUCS is an acclaimed human services provider who helps people rise from poverty, exit homelessness and be healthy. CUCS implements its missions by acquiring and developing supportive housing facilities and purpose-built shelters and providing community-based mental health and social services throughout New York City.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief of Staff to join our executive team. Reporting to the CEO, the Chief of Staff will play a pivotal role in driving CUCS’ strategic initiatives, improving internal processes, and ensuring the efficient execution of our organizational goals as we enter our next phase of growth and development.
What you will do:
Strategic Planning and Execution:
• Assist the CEO and Executive Team in developing CUCS’ strategic plan.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to ensure alignment with CUCS’ goals.
• Monitor progress toward goals for key projects and initiatives ensuring timely completion and helping breakdown potential obstacles.
• Provide recommendations that support the growth and development of the organization.
Organizational Improvement:
• Assist and evaluate the hiring process, and review staff allocation reports and monitors vacancies.Executive Support:
• Function as a thought partner and trusted advisor to the CEO.
• Prepare and coordinate executive-level and company-wide communications, including presentations, reports, and meeting agendas.• Support operational, managerial, and logistical needs of the CEO, providing administrative assistance, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
• Manage special projects and other matters assigned by the CEO.
Stakeholder Management:
• Serve as the primary liaison between the CEO and internal\external partners and stakeholders to ensure effective communication, issue resolution, and relationship management.
• Represent the CEO in meetings and communication as needed.
• Promote a positive work environment that aligns with CUCS’ vision, values, and mission.About the company
