- Functions as a liaison between the President/CEO and executives/employees/board and committees
- Responsible for coordination of Board Development activities.
- Coordinates and executes activities related to Board Governance and Engagement.
- Available to assist the Board Officers when necessary.
- Coordinates new member elections process.
- Coordinates board participation to ongoing events, graduations, store openings and tours.
- Oversees maintenance of board records (meeting minutes, rosters, etc.) for auditing, bylaw and CARF compliance and follows up in advance to make sure tasks assigned at Board Meetings are completed.
- Assists with development of new member Board Orientation.
- Sets the Board and Committee meeting calendars, facilitate work plans and action calendars.
- Supports the President/CEO toward achievement of the organizational mission and goals.
- Facilitates cross functional projects that further the organization’s strategy and provide development opportunities for the SLT.
- Utilizes strong project/business management skills and judgement in the execution of projects managed.
- Manages a variety of business situations with adaptability, composure, diplomacy and discretion.
- May assume and manage special projects as assigned by the President/CEO.
- Gathers relevant data and information systematically, considering a broad range of resources.
- Conducts research as necessary to support organizational goals.
- Develops communications and presentations to support CEO Board updates.
- Disseminates information and directives from the Office of the President/CEO, with appropriate follow-up.
- Manages and develops executive administrative staff and front desk personnel.
- Provides executive level administrative support (e.g. advanced knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Mid-Level Microsoft Project).
- Ensures smooth operation of the administration office.
- Communicates in a professional manner to ensure mutual understanding of issues.
- Works autonomously to apply new administrative methods/tools.
- Solves administrative problems and issues.
- Anticipates problems and takes proactive measure to resolve
- Represents CEO and Agency at community events.
- Acts as the CEO’s liaison to collaborate and create activities related to the values of the organization and such initiatives that are subsets of those values (e.g. employment engagement and DEI activities).
- Act as liaison with local governments in our territory.
- Oversees and supports events as directed by CEO.
- Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA), Non-Profit, Business Management or related fields is required.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience supporting executive level functions and boards.
- A high level of diplomacy, flexibility and excellent decision-making skills.
- Advanced analytical research and writing skills.
- Use Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to travel as needed during company business.

Position Details
POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief of Staff (COS) reports to the President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and will assist in managing important activities of the CEO, Executive Staff and Board. The COS will ensure strong execution and coordination of the strategic plan through facilitating effective communication among the agency Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board. The COS may act as project manager for critical initiatives across the agency and is responsible for moving forward projects that aim to further our mission and impact. The COS will assist the CEO in reinforcing the values and culture of the organization.
