      The Opportunity

You'll work side by side with Sharon Doherty, our Chief People and Places Officer and the P&P Executive Team, playing a pivotal part in driving our transformation plans and challenging our ways of working to ensure we deliver in an agile way .

      The role provides a fantastic opportunity to grow your leadership communication skills by playing an active role in our colleague events both on stage, and on our community calls.

      Your role and responsibilities:

      • Act as a trusted-advisor for Sharon, using judgement to bring things to her attention as needed

      • Leading the People & Place Leadership Team m eetings and the People & Places Executive Committee, ensuring agendas are relevant, strategic and value adding . Seeking opportunities to collaborate with external partners.

      • Work directly with the P&P Leadership Team, to implement our ambitious transformation plans

      • Ensure the team are working end-to-end (both within P&P and the wider Group), fostering a culture of collaboration, openness, and innovation, suggesting improvements where we see signs of working in silos and helping the team to adopt an agile mindset

      • Support review and preparation of analysis and recommendations on key papers, owning follow up on areas for further development. Attending alongside / on behalf of the Chief People and Places Officer at relevant meetings

      • Ensure integrity and quality of updates shared with Group and Board committees

      • Work with the P&P Comm unication s and Connections Lead to implement an engaging communications plan, promoting the business with colleagues and building brand advocacy with the opportunity to play a leading role in team communication events.

      • Lead on preparation for engagement with key external partners including regulators, industry peers and government – bringing together relevant perspectives from across the business to ensure focused, outcome orientated, meetings.

      • Working with the relevant specialists, ensure compliance with the Group’s policies and procedures, along with relevant regulatory and statutory requirement.

      • Lead special projects on behalf of Sharon ensuring alignment with Group and business strategy and policy and in conjunction with other central functions and teams.

      • Care for our people , bringing a human perspective to what we do in P&P and across LBG . Actively promote an inclusive and diverse workplace . act as an ambassador for Sharon and the P&P team.

      • Day to day management of Sharon’s office team and the P&P Communications & C onnections Lead.

      You r Background

      • Have significant experience in building effective relationships across an organisation, and be able to build and sustain external networks

      • Are familiar with A gile methodology or have experience of establishing agile ways of working across teams

      • Are comfortable and confident working with complex data sets with the ability to provide high quality insight in a clear and concise way

      • Are curious , strategic and use the external landscape to shape ideas and concepts into detailed plans

      • Someone who is proactive, highly organised and a natural organiser of others

      • Are comfortable navigating ambiguity, prioritising and making decisions in a fast-paced environment

      • Happy challenging perceptions with a combination of judgment, facts and empathy, keeping a view on the long-term objectives of the business

      • Are a natural collaborator, inspired to succeed as part of a high performing team

      • Are an excellent communicator and natural storyteller with an ability to influence at all levels and be candid when needed

      • Resilient and tenacious in a dynamic environment, keeping calm when things go wrong

      • Someone who is tech and social media savvy and feel s confident sharing points of view externally

      • Able to deal with the most confidential data and be trusted to be discrete at all times

      Experience in Human Resources and/or Real Estate is preferred . Location and travel

      This role will be based in one of our P&P hubs (Bristol, Leeds, Halifax, Edinburgh, or London) with travel for specific activity as required .
