- Global Support is Informa’s fifth division, with major service hubs in the United Kingdom, the United States, Hong Kong, and Singapore as well as several smaller locations. Global Support colleagues provide shared, efficient business services and function-specific expertise to each of Informa’s operating divisions, enabling our commercial teams to focus on their markets and customers.
- Technology Solutions & Services is a key function within Global Support, with responsibility for the management and evolution of the key enterprise technology disciplines that underpin day to day business operations including Strategy & Technology Change, Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Technology, Customer Technology, Technology Operations, and Information Security. The Technology function is embarking on a clear roadmap for the modernisation of legacy services whilst developing new platforms, solutions and techniques that transform the TS&S team into an enabler of reliable, scalable and secure services that support Informa’s digital agenda and diverse customer landscape, through the Unifying Technology Programme. - Real Estate: the RE team oversees Informa’s office landscape, with c.130 offices across the globe. The team of 34 is directly responsible for the day-to-day running, budgets, and leases of Informa’s major shared office locations (e.g. London, Dubai, New York etc.) as well as oversight and support of divisionally owned offices. The team has accountability for managing Informa’s 156 leases, as well as overseeing projects to refurbish and relocate offices as required. Currently, a proportion of the estate is being adapted to reflect Informa's balanced working approach, with Amsterdam and 5 Howick Place, reflecting the new design and model.
- As part of the TS&S Leadership Team you will support the CCO in key decision making within TS&S and RE, supporting the design and delivery of the Technology & Real Estate strategies, inputting into the decision-making process by testing and challenging ideas and helping to curate and crystallise outcomes across key strategic areas.
- You will support and manage priorities, projects, decisions, and actions that are in the remit of the CCO, working closely with him to ensure delivery of key requirements to time and budget, and helping to ensure effective communication within and outside of the team.
- You may attend key meetings on behalf of the CCO, ensuring actions are agreed and delivered by relevant stakeholders, following up and offering support against any actions undertaken by others and keeping the COO updated on actions, opportunities, and issues.
- You will oversee the cadence and terms of reference of regular meetings, coordinating and owning the meeting agendas and working with the leadership team, functional leads (e.g. Director of Technology Business Performance, HRBP etc.) as well as key stakeholders (e.g. Markets Regional Presidents) to develop meeting agendas, confirm meeting outcomes, and liaise with stakeholders pre and post meetings on actions and delivery:
- Regular (weekly) operational Technology and Real Estate Management meetings covering people, process, projects, finance and strategy.
- TS&S Strategic Offsites (quarterly) to focus on emerging and future issues.
- Interlock meetings with divisional leadership (Markets, Connect and Tech), attendance at events to build understanding and insight into the businesses.
- You will work in collaboration with the support functions for the teams (HR, Change Management and Adoption, Communications, Risk etc.) to ensure alignment with strategy and delivery plans, specifically the rolling programme of Colleague Engagement (Village and Town Halls, Pulse surveys etc.)
- You will liaise with the CCO, the Technology Leadership team, Corporate Development and the Group COO’s Office to co-ordinate materials for Audit and Risk Committees, quarterly PPP meetings and other senior stakeholder meetings (e.g. monthly COO meeting).
- In the event of a Ransomware or other Cyber Attack, you will act alongside the COO in their role as Group Incident Leadership Team (GILT) coordinator to capture actions, track progress and manage costs.
- You will be responsible for the leadership and delivery of specific projects that the CCO will from time to time agree with you, specifically selected change programess that operate across the technology community (TS&S and Operating Divisions)
- You will ensure there is a high level of confidentiality in communication and implementation of highly sensitive projects which could include M&A, financial results, budgets and new strategic initiatives (e.g. AI).
- You will have excellent presentation skills with innovative ways to collate, curate and design high impact, effective presentations and other materials.
- You will ensure CCO has all the necessary information before key meetings to ensure effective participation.
- You will liaise with the CCO’s EA, who has accountability for the CCO’s diary, to ensure alignment on diaries, travel and meeting cadence to support the above.
- A self-starter with a strong worth ethic, entrepreneurial drive to work autonomously within a global team.
- You will have exceptional people and stakeholder management skills and be able to handle pressure whilst making high-level decisions and must be a champion of the leaders’ strategic vision.
- Our CoS needs to be able to lead and motivate the team, facilitate communication between executives and ensure decisions are being made correctly.
- Previous experience delivering complex, strategic programmes and initiatives is a must.
- You will be flexible with an agile mentality that is ready to take on any task and who can respond to an ever-changing intense work load.
- You must be highly numerate with an ability to interpret and understand project plans, budgets, and financial targets; with the ability to analyse and compile a large amount of data and come up with conclusive results at speed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, you will be required to consistently produce & create inventive presentations that clearly communicate, impact and transfer knowledge to the audience.
- Superb program management skills, with proven experience delivering strategic projects, and initiatives.
- High EQ with the ability to work collaboratively, building trust and bringing people together towards common goals using strong personal influencing skills.
- Resilient and equipped to deal with challenging conversations and robust business discussions.
- You will thrive on variety and in ambiguity and are adept at context-switching, coupling this with a proven results delivery mindset.
- We expect there will be some international travel to support key meetings, likely to be no more than bi-monthly.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Chief of Staff to support the Chief Commercial Officer, who leads the Technology Solutions & Services function and our Global Real Estate team. This role will be varied and multifaceted and will involve a variety of tasks around people, performance, communication, strategy, planning, culture, and M&A. This person needs to be ready for a challenge and must be able to demonstrate that they can handle change at pace and operate at a leadership level. This role is about making impact and driving collaboration across TS&S & RE to ensure we are executing business wide projects & deliverables.
