- In consultation with the CEO, provides insight and collaboration on organization-wide strategic planning and the prioritization and scheduling of strategies and initiatives.
- Remains current with policies, practices and trends within the credit union, with the competition and the financial industry and uses that knowledge to create competitive advantages to the credit union.
- Responsible for maximizing operations efficiencies and resolving operational concerns in a timely manner.
- Responsible for overall administration of Branch & Call Center Operations, Retail Support, Member Services, and General Services.
- Promotes communication and information flow among senior team, management and staff.
- Develops, administers and monitors programs to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and rules that govern the credit union’s operations and product offerings.
- Represents the credit union and assists in negotiations on all properties owned and leased. Responsible for new construction, maintenance, remodels and security.
- Advises, negotiates, manages and administers credit union contracts in areas of responsibility.
- Serves as a member of the Asset Liability Committee, Retirement Benefits Committee, Loan Review Committee, Executive Loan Committee, and Loan/Deposit Pricing Committees. Chairs the Policy Review Committee.
- Partners with other Senior Team Leaders for the strategy, design, and engagement of Columbia Credit Union’s member experience.
- In collaboration with the Executive Management Team, the position establishes the overarching vision and defines organization-wide strategic initiatives.
- Establishes strategic relationships with key vendors; consults and maintains existing relationships with relevant vendors.
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends, technology, innovations and member adoption behavior to anticipate and proactively meet member needs.
- Maintains an awareness of new trends, developments in retail products, and in-depth knowledge of competitor’s products/offerings.
- Implements, monitors, and revises procedures relative to areas of supervision to comply with credit union policies and governmental rules and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of successful, progressive experience in management within a financial services environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; strong sales and management skills with a professional attitude and the ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
- Superb leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- The ability to formulate, establish and implement strategic goals at the corporate level.
- A record of delivering a wide variety of high quality, cost effective and timely business solutions.
- Effectively handles risk and steps up to handle tough issues.
- Demonstrated success managing projects, employees and resources.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to function in a goal-oriented atmosphere.
- In-depth knowledge of all applicable laws and regulations.
- Anticipated Hiring Rage: $270,000.00- $330,000.00
- Eligible for annual Back Office Incentive

About The Role
Consults with the CEO on strategic planning and the prioritization of organizational initiatives. Works with the CEO to coordinate and implement the strategies and initiatives approved by the Board of Directors and/or the CEO. Develops and makes recommendations regarding operating procedures to increase profits and/or make the organization more efficient. Directs the operations of the branches, support services, member services, and general services. Ensures positive interactions with members through their preferred communications channels and using language they understand to ensure a positive member experience. Ensure branch and department goals are obtainable, and established to reflect the credit union’s strategic plan.
