- Reporting to the CEO and partnering with other executives this position will take the lead in implementing and overseeing work plans that demonstrate effective and efficient accomplishments of our strategic plan.
- Establishes organizational policy in areas of HIPAA and HRSA compliance and adherence to PCMH standards.
- Will help set strategic direction for the organization and spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
- Provides leadership and management oversight to several key departments of the organization including Patient Access, Mobile Unit and Patient Experience.
- Participates in regular quality and process improvement meetings with other clinic administrators and executive leadership.
- Other assignments and projects to be assigned based on inefficiencies and opportunities for strategic growth.
- BS/BA degree required.
- Advanced Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Health, or related field.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Minimum of five years of management experience.
- Must have the demonstrated ability to create and streamline processes that ensure the organization runs effectively.
- Ability to creatively solve problems and develop practical solutions.
- Possess thorough understanding of all business functions and systems including human resources, legal affairs, community outreach, marketing, facilities management, business analysis, and budgeting.
- Minimum five years of executive management experience in an FQHC or ambulatory facility.
- Fluency in Spanish
- A majority of time on the job will be spent sitting with occasional walking, sitting, and/or stooping.
- At times this position may require weight to be lifted up to 15 pounds.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chief Operating Officer is a key member of the Family Health Center’s executive leadership team that is responsible for optimizing the organization’s strategic plan and to carry out our mission. This position will assure that the goals and objectives are monitored and adjusted when required.
The ideal candidate will have the skills and confidence to be an effective communicator, inspirational leader, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit to foster growth.
