      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Develop and implement an integrated philanthropy plan to support the organization's objectives
      - Design and execute cost-effective fund development programs
      - Set philanthropy goals and manage the development operation to achieve them
      - Mobilize and educate Lions volunteers for fundraising goals
      - Maintain fund development systems and ensure compliance standards
      - Oversee marketing and communications program to drive awareness and donor support
      - Manage web presence and online fundraising efforts
      - Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of development professionals
      - Serve as a spokesperson and advocate for the organization
      - Maintain a personal portfolio of top donors and prospects
      - Develop a balanced funding mix and solicit major, annual, and planned gifts
      - Collaborate with CEO and Philanthropy Committee to achieve department goals

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree in a related field required, advanced degree preferred
      - 7-10 years of progressive experience in philanthropy and fund development
      - Minimum of 5 years of team management experience
      - Demonstrated success in raising $13-15 million annually in donations and grants
      - Strong knowledge of philanthropy principles and practices
      - Excellent oral and written communication skills
      - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fundraising software
      - Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel regionally and nationally
      - Strong leadership and management skills
      - Comfortable working around large dogs

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience as a professional in a nonprofit organization
      - Previous success in planning and executing special events
      - Knowledge of planned giving strategies and techniques
      - Familiarity with corporate giving programs and partnerships
      - Experience with donor management and cultivation
