As a Chief Pilot, you will be responsible for piloting the Company owned aircraft to transport associates to various locations. You will ensure the safety, comfort, and convenience of the passengers, as well as all flight and ground operations comply with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. Responsible for transporting associates on the Company aircraft upon request. Responsible for flight planning and preparation and ensure the flight plan is filed. Analyze weather conditions and/or mechanical discrepancies and make decisions regarding possible delays, re-routing, or flight cancellations. Seeks input from the Co-Pilot and Aviation mechanic in making these decisions. Ensure thorough and timely maintenance of the aircraft and hangar. Analyze training requirements and Ensure that the flight department personnel receive proper training. Responsible for maintaining personal flight Log. Responsible for attending training as required. Determine maintenance/inspection requirements for the aircraft with input from the Aviation Mechanic. Determine which outside shop is best to employ when undergoing large projects. Prepare and Monitor the operating budget. Review and/or approves payment of all department invoices. Responsible for regularly interacting with the Company's top management on every flight. Also Interact with Executive Assistants to coordinate travel requirements as needed. Responsible for contacting parts vendors for ordering, price checks, etc. as needed. Contact maintenance shops to communicate the work scope at least once a year. Responsible for leading aircraft personnel which includes hiring, local training, disciplinary action, and gaining alignment with Company objectives. For this role, you will need to have a High School Diploma or GED, 4, hours of flight time with at least 1, hours in a turbine powered aircraft, and 4 hours in a Lear 45 aircraft; must have a valid US Passport or ability to obtain one, ability to pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check. We would prefer for you to have an Airline Transport Pilot License with a Lear 45 type rating, Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics License, additional flight experience over the minimum requirement and previous experience as a Chief Pilot or director of aviation, previous hands-on, practical maintenance experience.Work Shift
