      Position Summary

      The Chief Quality Assurance Officer (CQO) is responsible for assuring the compliance and quality standards across Pressley Ridge and its programs. This position is responsible for developing and executing quality assurance (QA), performance improvement and risk mitigation strategies across the organization. This role is also responsible for a cohesive approach to quality clinical work combined with regulatory compliance. It ensures services meet or exceed standards set by regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, and internal benchmarks, as well as overseeing quality treatment planning for clients. This position safeguards the well-being of children and families served by the organization and mitigates the organization’s risk. Position must be able to manage regulatory issues in multiple states with various service lines and utilize the resources of each department to ensure excellence.

      Responsibilities

      Strategic Leadership

      • Develops and implements the organization's quality strategy, ensuring it aligns with both organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
      • Aligns quality assurance with mission-driven, trauma-informed, and evidence-based practices.
      • Develops and implements a data-driven quality management system that adheres to best practices, ensuring that objectives related to quality and service are met.

      Risk, Compliance and Monitoring

      • Proactively manages the organization’s compliance and risk management programs to identify, assess, and mitigate organizational risk.
      • Ensures ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local regulations across departments and programs.
      • Leads internal compliance and quality audits, case reviews, and prepares programs for external reviews (e.g., licensing, accreditation), including noting trends, making recommendations for improvement and tracking progress towards those recommendations.
      • Manages risk mitigation strategies and ensure company practices meet legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
      • Investigates and responds to critical incidents, client grievances, and implements corrective actions, as necessary.
      • Provides Quarterly Risk reports to CEO, Executive Team, and Board of Director’s Audit/Risk Committee.

      Data & Outcomes Management

      • Oversees data collection, analysis, and reporting on program key performance indicators (KPIs), using these findings to drive program improvement and innovation.
      • Develops and maintains quality metrics and reporting systems to measure performance and drive improvements.
      • Provide quarterly outcome reports to CEO, Executive Team, and Board of Directors.

      Clinical

      • Utilizes data driven decision making and leads the development and execution of comprehensive clinical performance improvement plans where necessary.
      • Monitors clinical documentation to assure quality and consistency.
      • Monitors clinical outcomes and uses data to inform program improvements.

      Training & Capacity Building

      • Educates staff on quality assurance standards and continuous quality improvement (CQI) processes.
      • Educates staff on Council of Accreditation Standards and ensures compliance.
      • Promotes a culture of accountability and learning.

      Stakeholder Engagement

      • Collaborates with leadership, direct care staff, families, and external
      • Reports outcomes to boards, funders, and regulatory bodies as needed.
      • Collaborates, supports and advises senior leaders in the development and modification of focused scorecards with established goals that reflect excellence against national benchmarks.
      • Reinforces a culture of safety, quality and value, and create an environment that fosters innovation and high performance.
      • Leads various organization-wide committees as appropriate.
      • Represents Pressley Ridge at local, state and national meetings and conferences when appropriate

      Qualifications

      • Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
      • Clearances:
        • State Police
        • FBI
        • Child Abuse Clearances
        • CPSL Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training per state regulation.

      Working Conditions

      • Physical Demands: Requires vision, speech, and hearing. Moderate physical activity including sitting, standing, walking, and lifting/carrying (as required).
      • Environmental Factors: Office and community.
      • Working hours: Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Additional hours as needed as defined by the organization.

      Progressive experience in quality assurance, compliance, performance improvement in healthcare, behavioral health, or human services.
