      Stillstrom is looking for a hands-on early-stage company Chief Technical Officer (CTO) to become part of a revolutionary ocean cleantech journey. Stillstrom has embarked on an exciting journey to help decarbonise the maritime industry and build towards a clean ocean future.

      Stillstrom is at an exciting stage with a heavy focus on developing its core products. We work closely with the market and our end users both in offshore wind farms, and with vessel owners directly to charge all-electric vessels or power idle anchoring vessels. We therefore look for a Chief Technical Officer (CTO) who both is hands-on within the day-to-day business, and able to own and lead the strategy and execution of the Stillstrom product development journey.

      The Chief Technical Officer (CTO) will work closely with both ongoing projects, and in close alignment with all aspects of the business. We offer an exciting role in an early-stage venture company owned by AP Møller Mærsk with a dynamic and international team of ca. 20 colleagues. The Chief Technical Officer (CTO) will be part of the Stillstrom management team and will report directly to the CEO Kristian Borum Jørgensen.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Overall ownership of Stillstrom product development and product portfolio thinking

      • Structure the technical development and product journey from early concept to installed system

      • Manage and lead a technical team of ca. 10 employees who have a diverse capability set within naval, electrical (LV/HV, subsea and dynamic cabling), QHSE, system engineering, mechanical, offshore operations, as well as subsea installation expertise

      • Ensure that lifetime ownership and operatorship of offshore charging is managed and included in design thinking. Ensure usability of future Stillstrom products.

      • Responsible to lead and conduct early-client facing studies with the BD team and manage the technical team to support these studies

      • Drive the building of an even stronger technical team

      • Work closely and leverage the relation to our owners in Maersk

      The perfect Stillstrom Chief Technical Officer (CTO)

      • Dynamic profile with an interest to be part of an early-stage company

      • +10 years of experience from relevant positions, and with a relevant technical degree

      • Experience from start-up/scale-up and/or early stage cleantech is a major plus

      • Broad knowledge, understanding and experience within building and owning a product portfolio journey from concept to final installed product

      • Understanding and appreciation of offshore environment

      • Strong technical acumen in the broader context of building a business; able to include techno[1]economical aspects of product development

      • Strong communication skills to both internal and external c-level
