Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY
Family Programming at the Bay Club is where our youngest members Play Happy. Our goal is to provide engaging experiences for the children of The Bay Club that celebrate a healthy and vibrant lifestyle. The ideal Associate of Family Programming will possess strong leadership skills, be an enthusiastic self-starter with a passion for creating and executing innovative programming, and the talent to motivate those around them to do the same. They will bring a positive professional attitude, knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices, and most importantly inspire children and staff alike to Live Life Happy.
Under the direction of the Family Programming Leadership team, the Family Programming Associate is responsible for assisting in all Family Program department operations (including family programs/children’s programs, youth center/youth programs, birthday parties and camps). They will ensure the delivery of professional, high-quality, safe and nurturing family services and programs to our membership while always exceeding members’ expectations. This position is also responsible for ensuring all team members provide a dynamic and enriching environment for the children that is safe, clean and fun, and to execute and support the department’s established guidelines and standards.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Ensure a safe and healthy environment for the Bay Club community (kids, parents, staff)
· Understand and implement Supervision Policies and Procedures
· Have knowledge and comply with all federal, state, local and Bay Club regulations
· Understand and follow Bay Club policies and procedures as stated in the Personnel Handbook and addendums
· Know site Emergency Disaster Preparedness plans and execute when needed
· Understand and support implementation of Bay Club standards and other best practices adopted by The Clubhouse
· Communicate Clubhouse facility needs and repairs when necessary
2. Create an engaging child experience
· Support the execution of the Daily Schedule and Programming for children
· Work with site team to create a clean, warm, home-like environment for children
· Engage in positive adult-child interactions between self and children
· Create and execute intentional programming based on children’s interests and needs
· Support other team members when critical needs arise, if needed
· Understand and follow Clubhouse Behavior Management Policy and Positive Behavior Support system in alignment with our mission and values
3. Create an engaging parent and community experience
· Demonstrate exceptional service through timely, kind and clear communication using the right message at the right time
· Inform families of Clubhouse events and news as assigned
· Promote Bay Club sponsored events
· Participate and contribute to Parent Engagement events throughout the year
4. Contribute to an engaging team experience
· Understand and live the Bay Club Values, Mission and Service Promise
· Be open to performance feedback
· Work closely with team members to create cohesive team environment, promoting teamwork and high staff morale
· Support the organization in recruiting, onboarding and performance management of staff
· Execute any additional duties as assigned by the Clubhouse Director and/or Leadership staff
Qualifications

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
· Experience caring for children in daycare or babysitting environment preferred
· Ability to create and implement innovative children’s programs
· Love for children and experience caring for children ages 6 weeks to 13 years
· Professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service attitude and abilities
· Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills
· Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player
· Self-motivated, takes initiative and willing to acquire new skills
· Well organized and detail oriented
· Computer literate
· CPR certification required

Estimated Base Pay Range
$15.45 - $25.00 per hour

Compensation is estimated based on Bay Clubs efforts to provide fair and competitive compensation. Actual pay will be based on a candidate's job-related experience, skills, education, training, location, and responsibilities.
