Saddleback Vancouver is looking for a Saddleback Kids (SK) Director for a 30 hour per week ministerial position that leads and oversees our Children’s weekend services and events, including programming and volunteer recruitment and training. Must be fluent in English and knowledgeable of Cantonese language.

Primary Duties:

Programming
* Responsible for implementing, adapting, and creating age-appropriate interactive activities, crafts and programs that reinforces curricula
* Build a team of volunteers who translate printed and digital media including voiceover
* Interact with children, parents and volunteers. Respond to questions and resolve conflicts as needed
* Teach Baptism Class for children and parents
* Teach Child Dedication class for parents, plan Child Dedication at the campus
* Oversee weekend interaction between volunteers, children, and parents. Provide coaching and feedback.
* Provide orientation and training consistent with SK practices. Provide supervision to SK Coordinator.

Volunteer Coordination
* Identify, recruit, screen, confirm, train, place, shepherd volunteers
* Provide orientation and training consistent with SK practices
* Oversee weekend interaction between volunteers, children and parents
* Build community among leaders through fellowship opportunities

Administrative Responsibilities:
* Communicates with Campus Pastor, other team members, and SK Campus Support Pastor; Administrates schedules, budgets and credit card reports.
* Tracks attendance of volunteers and children.
* Respond to emails and texts
* Attend SK staff meetings as requested

Experience & Qualifications:

* Previous 2 years of ministry experience and or experience working with children
* Ability to supervise, lead and shepherd volunteers
* Strong servant leadership and people development skills and experience
* Strong ability to independently problem solve
* Experience maintaining existing systems and ministries as well as developing/growing new ones.
* Financial skills in managing budgets and projects
* Excellent communication skills
* Proficient in MS Office, email and social media
* College degree preferred
