Job summary

We have four OccupationalTherapy Teams working with children and adults, with a mix of qualified and non-OT qualified staff in each team. We are committed to helping people to live safely in the place they call home. This role is specifically working within the Childrens Occupational Therapy Team.
Within this role youll be able to blend home/remote working with office-based working at one of our different office bases depending on which Team you are in (Merlyn Vaz Health and Social Care Centre, Beaumont Way Office or Jersey Road Housing Office). Part-time hours will be discussed at interview stage.
Main duties of the job
As an OT you will be visiting children in their own homes and using your professional and clinical skills to assess and identify needs. You will be expected to make recommendations to address any identified needs, which often includes the provision of equipment and minor/major adaptations. Youll explore safe ways of moving and handling and be able to communicate and develop plans well. Youll work with social work colleagues, Housing and Health partners, and equipment providers.
