- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Experience of planning and providing clinical care to adults or children and young people with occupational therapy needs.

- Neurology and rehabilitation experience.
- Some post-qualifying experience.
- Experience of undertaking clinical audit
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ongoing awareness of recent developments in practice and research including NSFs/NICE guidelines Previous experience of delivering programmes of care Knowledge of safeguarding children and young people Engaging and empowering approach that seeks to work with othUnderstanding of clinicnal governance and risk management and their implications for the service
- Engaging and empowering approach that seeks to work with others and deliver outcomes in a successful and well informed manner.

Job summary
Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust's children's occupational therapy team provides a range of community-based health services for children in Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin, for children aged 0 -18.
We are looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our team.
Are you looking for experience of working within children's community occupational therapy services assessing and treating with children with developmental coordination disorders and physical disabilities. .
We offer good training opportunities with a strong emphasis on continuing professional development through appraisal and supervision. The successful applicant will be part of an enthusiastic and friendly team of children's therapists and assistants. The team is highly supportive with a commitment to improving to quality and productivity and there are ongoing opportunities to contribute to service development.

Main duties of the job
You will need to have a sound knowledge of assessments and interventions used with these client groups or be able to demonstrate that you have transferable skills from working with adults . You will need to be familiar with report writing and be able to evidence that you have used goal setting and outcome measures within your practice. You should be able to evidence that you have the developed skills that may be required to liaise with multidisciplinary teams of health, education, and social care professionals.
