      China Politics and Policy Correspondent

      Reuters is looking for a dynamic and experienced China journalist with great ideas and outstanding reporting and writing skills to join Reuters coverage of China’s politics, policymaking, and society – one of the most exciting and challenging jobs in journalism.

      We’re looking for an energetic journalist to produce richly reported and compellingly told stories on the world’s second-largest economy, how it is changing and what it means for the world.

      The successful candidate will be someone keen to tell the China story from Beijing and beyond, with a demonstrated ability to build a great network of sources and to conceive and deliver insightful and exclusive stories.

      She/he will also be a team player who will work effectively across the Reuters team in Greater China and globally, delivering coverage that connects the dots to deliver a must-read China file.

      About the role:
      As our China Politics and Policy Correspondent, you will:
      - Break exclusive news and write reports that offer deep insight.
      - Be a key member to a diverse and high-performing team under often tough circumstances.
      - Work closely with journalists from across the Greater China team and globally.
      - Develop a cohesive and revelatory body of work on your beat.

      About You:
      To be China Politics and Policy Correspondent, you will likely have:
      - A track record of developing, reporting and writing outstanding, ambitious stories.
      - Outstanding news judgment and an understanding of Reuters client needs.
      - Knowledge of visual storytelling.
      - Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
      - Fluent Chinese and English.
