      Job Description:

      A. Accountabilities

      The China Sustainability Representative ensures the deployment of Airbus’ Sustainability ambition into the business cross-divisionally, to develop awareness, competency, alignment and engagement, and to foster the milestones and deliverables of Airbus Industrial environmental roadmaps across China with the respective MFTs. The China Sustainability Representative reports operationally to the Head of Sustainability in China and functionally to the Sustainability Roadmaps and Business Integration function in the GAA parameter (Management system and reporting).

      The China Sustainability Representative follow the “Guide, Enable and Check” principles of the Airbus Sustainability mission across functions, divisions, subsidiaries and affiliates in China, covering main operating units of Airbus Environment Roadmap, Environment Management System, Regulatory Intelligence, Reporting & stakeholder engagement, Substance Roadmap, Human Rights Roadmap, Sustainability culture change and community impact.

      B. Main Activities

      Airbus Industrial Roadmap (scope 1&2):

      • “Guide-enable-check” the high5+ performance and SAF deployment in Tianjin and support cross-functional/divisional MFTs where applicable

      • Consolidate the Airbus in China environmental deliverables and commitments and provide a holistic view to local management team and to GAA

      • Identify local public funding opportunities and support functions in their requests in coordination with the existing networks in place

      Environment Management System:

      • Support the implementation of the EMS (environment management system) scope at national level and report the status to the local management

      • Contribute to the definition of sustainability management system applicable at national level, ensure implementation and creation of relevant documentation and support the implementation of Sustainability policies and requirements in the management system

      • Support the annual audit plan, internal and certification audits, findings follow up and actions closure for scope beyond operational environment

      • Consolidate inputs and overview of the operation of the management system and compliance

      Regulatory Intelligence:

      • Ensure monitoring and analysis of sustainability regulations in China

      • Anticipate and assess applicability of future environmental and social policies, and collaborate on new regulatory developments, national implementation of regulations and national compliance

      Environmental Substance Roadmap:

      • Represent China in environmental substance projects/ MFT

      • Bridge central function with local business lines when needed

      Culture change & community impact:

      • Support sustainability culture change and employee engagement, and support the building of awareness towards a sustainable culture across Airbus in China

      • Identify local competence needs on sustainability transverse topics

      Aviation environmental roadmap (scope 3):

      • Animate the local SAF project activities with local workstream leaders

      • Act as KAM for external stakeholders, such as MEE, NEA, etc

      • Support HO Sustainability/ SAF Ambassador with related priorities

      General:

      • Ensure the deployment and integration of of Sustainability priorities in China

      • Act as the channel of Airbus China towards GA & Regulation teams on operational performance/ challenges

      • Contribute to the identification of the sustainability Risks & Opportunities in the region

      • Identify key stakeholders and drive dialogue and engagement plans in coordination with functions such as Public & Corporate Affairs, HR, Comms, Operations, Commercial, Legal etc

      • Support internal and external communication where topic expertise is required, and support the interface with external trade associations on sustainability topics

      • 2030 High5+ roadmap & action plan

      • Monthly regulatory newsletter

      • Monthly reports on high5+ & SAF in internal operations

      D. Input

      Qualifications

      • Master degree or above

      • 5 years’ working experience on project management, environmental affairs, chemistry, materials engineering, or corporate governance

      • Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take calculated risks

      • Proven track record of project management skills and experience in multinational organisations

      • Intercultural awareness to be able to operate in a cross border environment – within the region and outside of the region

      • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

      • Ability to communicate in English during negotiations
