Know church planting involvement of every Send Network pastor/church (plants, supporting, sending, and multiplying) in your context as well as any other churches that express interest in partnering in church planting so that you can assist them in their next step.
Work to mobilize new churches for involvement in church planting as a Supporting, Sending, or Multiplying Church.
Work with local SBC churches to create a pipeline that results in an increasing number of church planters coming from within the context and better prepared.
Exegete your context and always have the 5 priority areas/peoples where plants are needed most.
Cast vision for multiplication and work with Send Network pastors to move their churches through a pathway of becoming a Multiplying Church.
Work with pastors to help them identify potential church planters and team members within their congregations.
Consult planters toward sustainability and multiplication and ensure they participate in every element of the Send Network Planter Pathway.
Catalyze a minimum of 4 new church plants annually in your context.
Implement the Send Network Multiplication Pipeline or equivalent in new churches within your assigned area.
Shepherd existing Send Network churches into their next step toward multiplication.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the State Director of Missions
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or four or more years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Understanding of the Southern Baptist Convention, Baptist doctrine, history and polity, and the interrelationships of SBC agencies, state conventions, associations, and churches.
Seminary Degree (optional)
Evidence of a mature and growing Christian walk characterized, by Paul, in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
Personal wisdom and sufficiency are grounded in Christ and the word of God, with a life submitted to God’s authority in all things.
Models a daily soul-winning lifestyle.
Can effectively lead others in prayer.
Gives regularly and generously to the work of the church.
Readily applies scripture to personal and professional situations.
Can articulate Baptist theological understandings on a range of issues.
Conducts ministry in keeping with the principles and spirit of the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
Enjoys healthy, affirming relationships with spouse (if married), family, neighbors, and friends.
Exhibits integrity in professional and personal life.
Modest in dress and deportment and makes a favorable first impression in both bearing and manner.
Aware of personal strengths and shortcomings, potential, psychological needs, biases, and prejudices, and actively solicits and benefits from constructive criticism.
Personal finances are in order, with no oppressive burden of consumer debt.
Is a member of a local Southern Baptist church and takes an active role as time permits.
Demonstrates a high level of energy, with a bright, positive affect, warmth, and genuine interest in people.

JOB SUMMARY:
The church planting catalyst (CPC) is an active member of a Send Network church who works to implement Send Network church planting strategy in their assigned area or peoples that ultimately results in multiplying churches that discover, develop, and deploy church planting teams from within. Three behaviors are critical to the success of the CPC and provide a framework for activity and evaluation. They are: Cultivate Relationships, Coach Toward Multiplication, and Catalyze Movement.
