What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and configure data ingest systems for atmospheric and geosciences data
- Develop and maintain scalable data management workflows and standards-compliant metadata
- Create and validate tools and scripts for automated integrity checks of datasets
- Respond to user inquiries and provide technical assistance related to complex datasets

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with experience in Earth science, data storage, and computer data processing
- 4-8 years of progressive and relevant professional work experience
- Proficiency in Linux/UNIX environments and advanced skills in Python and associated data libraries
- Experience with scientific data processing, quality control, and metadata creation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholder engagement

- Experience with software containerization and high-performance computing environments
- Background in atmospheric or ocean sciences with knowledge of geoscience data formats
