About the Opportunity

Working alongside seasoned engineers and recent graduates alike, you will be primarily engaged in projects related to general civil engineering, ranging from infrastructure and utility design, water resources, traffic engineering, and transportation planning. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients and communities, such as municipal government, provincial government, Indigenous communities, and land development clients. Our goal is for you to come away with an enhanced skill set and real-life experience in a consulting practice that will serve you well in your career as an engineer.

• Hone your civil engineering skills and develop an understanding of best practices in a practical, real-world setting.
• Apply theory and provide workable solutions related to the implementation of engineering work regarding general community engineering, including roads, water, sanitary, and drainage infrastructure design and planning.

• Build your skills in traffic modelling and analysis to help shape municipal transportation plans and long-range planning studies
• Assist project managers with cost estimating, quantity take offs, contract preparation and administration, design drawings, project coordination, construction management, community funding applications, and report preparation for civil infrastructure related to community development. Proactively and professionally communicate with contractors, co-workers, clients, other consultants, and the public.

About You

We are looking for a student currently enrolled in a civil, environmental, or integrated engineering (with an emphasis in civil engineering) program who is in either their 3rd or 4th year of study. Related experience is beneficial but is not required.
