      Chubb seeks to hire a Claim Director for our Multinational Casualty team that provides specialized claim handling on behalf of Chubb’s Multinational customers in the U.S. and abroad.

      • The successful candidate will be responsible for adjusting bodily injury and property damage claims under Automobile and General Liability (GL) policies including Product, Premises, Completed Operations and Employers Liability coverages.
      • Experience handling international claims is desired, but not required.
      • In this role you will hone skills in all facets of investigation, coverage determination, reserving, negotiation, settlement and overall claim strategy for non-litigated and litigated moderate to high severity multinational claims.
      • The position may require up to 15% travel, typically for mediations and trials, when required.
      • You will also represent the company at claim review meetings with our customers, management and business partners, in addition to being a U.S. claim resource to our global claim offices and underwriters.

      Qualifications

      Minimum 5 to 7 years' litigation experience either as an attorney or as a claim professional with a comprehensive understanding of the claims process and the ability to identify critical issues that may require additional guidance.

      In addition:

      • Automobile and General Liability (GL) experience handling bodily injury and property damage claims; International claims handling experience is not required
      • Some background and demonstrated ability in identifying and reviewing coverage issues
      • Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, to articulate complex concepts and solutions to stakeholders
      • An understanding of the tenets of insurance and legal principles
      • Knowledge of P&C Group coverage and services
      • Working knowledge of industry best practices and procedures
      • An ability to work independently and assimilate learning materials on many different subjects from various sources
      • Excellent interpersonal communications and an ability to deal with customers and business partners in a professional manner
      • Excellent negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes, resolve disputes and facilitate agreements where necessary
      • Proven ability to make prompt, intelligent and efficient decisions based upon detailed analysis of claim issues
      • Proven adaptability to work with a sense of urgency on important time-sensitive matters

      A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.

      If you do not already have one, you will be required to obtain an applicable resident or designated home state adjusters license and possibly additional state licensure.

      The pay range for the role is $79,300 to $134,700. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website .
