- Educated to GCSE standard to include English Language and Mathematics Grade C or above or Numeracy and Literacy (Level 2).
- NVQ 3 in Business & Administration or equivalent experience.
- IT/Secretarial qualification e.g. RSA II Word Processing.
- ECDL.
- Willingness to learn other Computer Skills.
- Previous experience of an administrative role
- Evidence of delivering excellent customer service
- Experience of managing a database system
- Good knowledge and confident in the use of Microsoft Office Systems including Word Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge and experience of using Ulysses or NHS Resolutions claims portal
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to use own initiative.
- Ability to work in a team and manage workloads and time effectively.
- Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Able to deal confidently and tactfully with people at all levels

As Legal Services Administrator, you will be at the heart of managing inquests and claims, ensuring accurate documentation, timely responses, and seamless coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a calm, professional approach to sensitive and complex matters. You will be trusted to handle confidential information, support legal casework, and contribute to improving the experience of staff and patients/carers involved in these processes.

Main duties of the job
You will be supporting the team with a caseload of inquests and claims ensuring these are accurately logged and monitored and collating records, statements and other evidence in order to support requests from Coroners and other external stakeholders.
You will provide general administrative support to senior team members as well as electronic filing support for the team. You must be self-driven and with a keen eye for order and detail, taking satisfaction from creating meticulously organised files.
