What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare correspondence for newly reported claims and research claims to rule out duplicate files
- Request police reports, equipment photos, and inspections as needed
- Answer and route telephone calls, taking messages when necessary
- Manage correspondence routing to claim files and perform IRS TIN matching
- Provide additional support and research as requested by management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong customer service skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and logic/reasoning skills
- Ability to remain calm and diffuse difficult callers
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a claims or administrative role within the insurance industry
- Familiarity with claims processing and related software systems
- Knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations regarding insurance claims
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Experience in a customer-facing role
