What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Investigate and adjust large and complex property claims in the New York City area
- Analyze property coverage forms and resolve questions of coverage and claim value
- Prepare and evaluate estimates while engaging in proactive claims handling
- Recommend timely and adequate reserves for ultimate claim payments
- Assist in the education of Field Claims in property claims handling
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of five years of demonstrated expertise in property claim handling
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to work independently
- Experience with coverage forms, policies, and claims procedures
- Proficiency in Xactimate software
- Ability to travel as needed
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree and insurance designations preferred
- Experience in catastrophe situations
