Job Description

- Provides administrative support to the Claims Legal team, including formatting and proofing of various legal correspondence and the handling of transmittal and tracking, electronic filing of claim-related correspondence and legal filings with appropriate naming conventions, and the scheduling of meetings via Zoom/Teams.
- Conducts basic legal research as directed.
Compiles and/or drafts legal documents for review and use by Claims Legal team, such as discovery responses, affidavits, and other routine legal documents.
- Categorizes and interprets data; reviews and analyzes reports, responses and records.
- Prepares and provides information necessary to implement legal holds as appropriate.
- Under direction of attorneys, compiles internal documents for production in response to subpoenas, assists with identification and redaction of personal and privileged information, and maintains tracking information for subpoenas handled directly by Claims Legal Counsel.
- Under direction of attorneys, provides assistance in the procurement of certified copies of policies in accordance with established procedures, interfaces with other departments to obtain internal documents sought in discovery for attorney review, and assists with the provision of commonly requested information such as corporate disclosure statements to outside counsel.
- Assists with troubleshooting and resolution of logistical problems with the submission of billing from outside counsel by interfacing with internal resources and developing expertise in EMC billing systems.
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Five years of legal administrative support experience
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Accurate data entry skills
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, formatting of legal documents, and legal filings
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization and multitasking skills
- Excellent grammar and spelling skills

Per the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the hiring range for this position for Colorado-based team members is $29.09-$37.35. The hiring range for other locations may vary.
