      It's an exciting time for us at Hastings Direct; we're transforming our business to become a truly digital first insurer and we're looking for a Claims Data Analyst to join us on our journey.

      This is a fantastic opportunity for a more experienced analyst (2+ years experience), looking for a new challenge that will expose them to cutting edge tools in a fast paced, forward-thinking company.

      You'll be part of a team of analysts that support the business through the development and delivery of robust MI and analytical insights. You will help to drive down costs and make the claims function more efficient. You will also monitor and understand the key drivers of performance, and come up with great ideas to add even more value.

      We’re flexible on location providing you’re within a reasonable distance to any of our offices for team meetings and catch ups!



      ABOUT THE ROLE


      Within the Claims Analytics team, you will make an impact to the business through delivering analytical insight into claims and counter fraud performance, thereby enabling the business to:

      • Monitor, understand and communicate the drivers of performance
      • Influence claims, operational spend and customer outcomes
      • Scope, implement and track the impact of initiatives and strategies
      • Streamline processes and improving controls

      To achieve this, you will be proactive in identifying opportunities and solving problems through a combination of quantitative analysis and business insight, whilst working with a variety of stakeholders across all levels of the business.

      WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

      • Experience in the use of MS office applications (Excel and PowerPoint), programming languages (e.g. Python, SQL, R, Emblem, SAS), and Visualisation Tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
      • Degree educated, minimum 2:1, STEM subjects or relevant experience
      • Demonstrable experience in owning and delivering analytical projects, structuring analysis and deliverables to ensure stakeholder requirements are met
      • Advanced numerical and analytical skills with the ability to work with large, complex datasets
      • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
      • Good attention to detail
      • Insurance experience preferable, but not essential (claims experience an even bigger bonus!
