- Effectively manage a portfolio of various types of claims.
- Observe and adhere to claim resolution timing targets and goals.
- Conduct and document comprehensive investigations with all parties to understand events.
- Research, request, and collect all relevant claim information necessary to build complete claim files.
- Respond timely to internal and external inquiries for information relative to claims.
- Update and maintain claim files to ensure complete records.
- Work with external craft professionals to obtain multiple market quotes as appropriate.
- Negotiate proper settlements within established guidelines or deny claims as appropriate.
- Obtain Settlement and Release Agreements.
- Work with Accounting to issue payments pursuant to agreed upon terms.
- Timely closure of claims in system of record.
- Generate reports as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of water and fire damage is preferred .
- Must be detail-oriented and able to accurately process transactions.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate settlements to achieve resolution.
- Commitment to high levels of customer service.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to establish a high level of trust and credibility in the organization. Confidentiality and discretion are essential.
- Proactive and resourceful.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to understand the independent contractor relationship.
- Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills.
- Proficient computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and database software; must be able to toggle between multiple screens and programs.
- Prior experience with Claims Management Systems preferred .
- Knowledge of the logistics industry and appliance installation preferred .
- Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to work extended or variable hours as necessary.
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
- One-year claims management-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.

The Claims Processor is responsible for the timely review, investigation, and resolution of various types of claims. This individual will skillfully evaluate all claim and policy information to administer and resolve claims effectively, communicating with both internal and external customers effectively throughout the process.

Shift Hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM EST (Availability to work additional hours as needed.)
Pay Rate: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour (Dependent upon experience level.)
