What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review new claims assignments and determine necessary actions
- Manage all claim functions such as documentation, reserving, and payments
- Conduct thorough investigations to determine extent and severity of potential loss
- Evaluate and interpret policies to determine coverage
- Negotiate and settle claims while actively identifying subrogation potential
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma required, 2 or 4-year degree preferred
- 1+ years of general work experience
- Must begin working toward AIC and other designations within 2 years of hire
- Knowledge of claims best practices, policies, and legal terminology
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with insurance industry practices and regulations
- Previous experience in claims handling or insurance-related field
