What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise and lead a Workers Compensation claims team, ensuring high-quality service for diverse caseloads
- Promote best practices in claims handling in accordance with the employer's standards
- Oversee the hiring and training of adjusters while fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement
- Manage team workloads and define goals to ensure optimal efficiency
- Communicate professionally with clients, carriers, and brokers to maintain positive relationships
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 10 years of related claims experience
- Active adjusters license for New York
- Knowledge of all team member-related functions
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- Additional experience in Workers Compensation and lost-time claims
- Familiarity with technology used in claims management
