Classified - Van Driver - Transportation & Distribution Center - 2025-2026 School Year
Part-Time / Guaranteed pay 5.00 hours per day/ Must be able to work a split shift
Sample Schedule (actual times hours may vary): 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. *break* 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. *break* 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Job Summary: The driver of a school vehicle is charged with the responsibility of safely transporting students to and from their designated pick-up points and assigned attendance areas. The vehicle must be operated in accordance with the laws of the state and the policies established by the school district. The driver must successfully complete the state department of education and the district driver training program and maintain both the required license and a good driving record. The driver is responsible for the students' safety anytime they are being transported.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Nebraska operators permit or federal commercial driver's license (CDL) if required and school transportation vehicle operator's permit. Pass Level I and Level II Student Transportation certification requirements.Application Procedure: As a current employee of Papillion La Vista Community Schools you must submit an internal application.
