      Job Description

How does it feel to work on a team driven to make a big impact? Empowering. We believe your career should always be growing. And that’s exactly what it will do at BAE Systems as part of our Leadership Development Program (LDP). The LDP is designed to accelerate the development and career of highly-motivated recent college graduates, or existing BAE Systems employees who’ve just started their own professional journey, who aspire to achieve their leadership potential. This is accomplished through challenging and rewarding rotational assignments, technical and leadership training, advanced education, leadership opportunities and exposure, and mentorship. You’ll hit the ground running with a company truly committed to your growth as you enjoy a special camaraderie on a team dedicated to protecting what really matters.

BAE Systems is actively recruiting for our Contracts Leadership Development Program (CLDP).
Our mission is to cultivate professionals within the Contracts Management organization who are 'action oriented', will lead effective change, and promote innovation within BAE Systems. The program is 36 month, entry-level, “career launch” program designed to build a strong business skills foundation for a successful career in Contracts.

As a CLDP participant, you will gain:

Experience: CLDP is a 36-month program, consisting of three, 12-month rotations. It is designed to provide a diverse set of experiences through challenging rotational assignments, contracts management training programs, advanced education, leadership development, and mentorship. Rotations correlate with major DoD program lifecycle phases, including R&D, EMD, Production and Sustainment, as well as Commercial and Contract Operations options. Each rotation will expose a Participant to a different business area, facility and manager, to the extent practicable.

Job Rotation Travel: The first rotation will take place in New Hampshire or Massachusetts. As part of ensuring diversity in experience and cultures across our BAE Systems sites, we are requiring a minimum of two (2) different geographic locations during your 3 rotations. This mobility is defined as moving away from your first rotational site in New Hampshire/ Massachusetts, which will count towards one (1) geographic location. Remote based roles will not count towards this mobility requirement. Based on business needs, we may have opportunities for a rotation to:

      • San Diego, CA
      • Austin, TX
      • Wayne, NJ
      • Endicott, NY
      • Fort Wayne, IN
      • Manassas, VA
      • Other BAE Systems sites as they become available

Educational Advancement: BAE Systems offers tuition assistance for graduate school tuition, books and application fees in support of one of the major components of the program, obtaining a Master’s Degree or MBA. Members of the program also complete in-house training that focuses on Contracts Management and Business Acumen at BAE Systems.

Personal Growth: The program seeks to facilitate the growth of an individual's leadership skills and style through the various training and networking opportunities.

History of Excellence: BAE Systems is committed to the development of program participants by providing mentoring, robust and challenging rotational assignments, and graduate school tuition assistance. This focus on professional development pays long-term dividends for both the participants and the company.
