What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process new referrals by verifying patient eligibility and coordinating benefits
- Document and calculate estimated patient financial responsibilities based on insurance coverage
- Initiate and secure prior authorization and pre-determination requests
- Communicate effectively with patients, referral sources, and internal departments regarding referral status and coverage updates
- Generate new patient start of care paperwork and assist with related administrative duties
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in home infusion specialty pharmacy and/or medical intake/reimbursement
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement guidelines
- Ability to multi-task and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Working knowledge of CPR+ software
- Experience with prior authorization and benefits verification in specialty infusion
