      Job Title: Virtualization Engineer

      Job Description

      We are seeking a skilled Virtualization Engineer to support a government customer by designing, developing, and implementing a multi-cloud management platform. This role will involve optimizing network operations across applications and clouds, automating IT infrastructure, and streamlining DevOps resource consumption and delivery. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in advising project managers on technical issues and solutions, setting and verifying security configurations, and helping remediate violations.

      Responsibilities

      • Serve as a VMware Engineer supporting a government customer.
      • Design, develop, and implement a government multi-cloud management platform.
      • Support customer cost, operations, and automation goals.
      • Optimize network operations across applications and clouds.
      • Automate workload balancing and placement for the VMware cloud.
      • Automate IT infrastructure.
      • Streamline DevOps infrastructure resource consumption and delivery.
      • Set and verify security configurations in the delivery pipeline and remediate violations.
      • Advise project managers on technical issues and solutions.

      Essential Skills

      • Hands-on experience with VMware Aria (formerly VRealize) including Operations and Automation.
      • Ideally 3 years of experience working with VMware/VRealize.
      • Proficiency in VMware, Aria, DevOps, VRealize, Kubernetes, RHEL 7, and Cloud environments.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience with VMware ESXi, vSphere, vMotion, HCI, and RHEL is a plus.
      • VMware certified (preferred).
      • Knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) is preferred.
      • Active Secret Clearance required.

      Work Environment

      This position requires onsite work in Dahlgren five times a week. The role is part of a 12-month program with the potential for extension for another 3-5 years. Flexibility may be introduced in the future. Currently, there are six positions open, starting with two.

      **Must be open to relocating close to the Dahlgren, VA area**

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
