Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Criminal Justice Team based at Central Clinic. We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Clerical Officer with excellent communication skills, to provide clerical and administration support to the Criminal Justice Team, Secure Services & Recovery Division, as well as the wider Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Delivery Unit.
The post holder will be required to communicate and liaise with staff and members of partner organisations, produce work to deadlines whilst ensuring compliance with Health Board policies. This is a key supporting role in the effective running of the team, which includes the management of resources as part of the core duties.
The duties and responsibilities listed below are not intended to be exhaustive, but are set out to indicate the main areas of activity currently expected. The post holder will, therefore, be expected to adopt a flexible approach when the needs of the service require.
Main duties of the job
As an administrative Clerical Officer you will undertake the day to day administration of the service. You will be the first point of contact for health professionals, partner agencies within the criminal justice system, patients, their families and other agencies. You will assist in taking referrals, scheduling appointments, dealing with queries and inputting data on to patient management systems.
We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, organised and flexible in approach, with demonstrable experience. You should have a proven educational background, educated to a vocational level 3 in administration or equivalent. Advanced computer / keyboard skills, experience and knowledge of Microsoft office packages and excellent customer service skills are essential for this role. Previous NHS clerical experience and knowledge of clinical administration systems, such as Clinical Portal and Oracle is highly desirable for this post although training will be provided.
