      Payment Application Clerk
      Full-time, Permanent, On-site

      What does a Payment Application Clerk at Yellow Pages do?

      The Payment Application Clerk is responsible for receiving, verifying, and importing customer payment files and processing non-standard payments for all Yellow Pages departments (Administration, Payroll Services, etc.).
      They receive, analyze, and apply payments from all Yellow Pages clients (including check processing) and are responsible for filing within the entire billing and payment application department.

      Responsibilities:

      Importing Payment Files

      • Retrieve payment files, validate and import them into our billing system (Zuora).

      Applying Manual Checks and Electronic Transfers (EFTs)

      • Verify and apply received and/or rejected checks in the billing system (NSF).

      • Verify and apply electronic funds transfers in the billing system (EFT).

      • Apply checks received from collection agencies and other departments such as Payroll, HR, and Administrative Services in the billing system.

      Executing Payments and Processing Refunds

      • Process and apply pre-authorized bank payments and credit card payments in the billing system.

      • Handle refunds, returns, or payment rejections in the billing system.

      Inbox and Request Management

      • Monitor and respond daily to requests from two email inboxes (Payment Application and Electronic Transfers).

      • Process returned mail daily.

      • Sort incoming correspondence for the department and route it to the correct department.

      • File all documents for the billing and payment application department.

      • Manage payment transfers to the correct client accounts upon request.

      • Handle all requests from “Cash Application Support.”

      What You Need to Become a Payment Application Clerk at Yellow Pages

      Qualifications:

      • High School Diploma (Grade 12 or equivalent).

      • This position involves DAILY interactions with clients or internal and/or external professionals at the national level. Therefore, BILINGUALISM in French and English is required.

      • 1 to 2 years of experience in accounts receivable.

      • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

      • Experience with Zuora, Aquracy, and Salesforce is an asset.
