      What is the opportunity?

      The Capital Markets Client Intelligence team is responsible for producing forward-looking analytics that enable RBC’s Capital Markets businesses to make informed decisions. The CI team leverages internal and external benchmarking data and client feedback to deliver client insights and highlight revenue generating opportunities to the Sales & Trading and Corporate & Investment Banking divisions in support of the firm’s key strategic initiatives. In addition to delivering best-in-class analytics and data visualizations, the team partners closely with technology to enhance client analytics tools and CRM used by the front office.

      What will you do?

      • Leverage various data sources (internal metrics, benchmarking data, client feedback, CRM) to produce data visualizations in Tableau that highlight actionable client insights in support of strategic business initiatives
      • Coordinate the annual sales & client planning process and track monthly revenue forecasting and Sales KPIs
      • Partner with Sales and Sales Business Management in the development and design of business KPIs and Tableau dashboards
      • Coordinate client benchmarking efforts with external vendors including delivery of findings to the business
      • Lead integration of benchmarking data to produce actionable client insights
      • Support the Sales platform by leveraging client data and coordinating strategic initiatives to increase revenue and deepen relationships
      • Support Senior Relationship Management in the internal account review process to identify action plans to improve client rankings and increase revenues
      • Provide senior leadership client briefs and opportunity analysis ahead of client meetings

      What do you need to succeed?

      Must-have:

      • Advanced proficiency in Tableau and Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts & graphs)
      • Passion for data visualization and demonstrated ability to organize large amounts of data and effectively present metrics and analysis
      • Positive attitude and collaborative work approach
      • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities
      • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work in fast-paced environment
      • Strong written & verbal communication skills; ability to communicate confidently
      • Influencing skills; ability to build relationships with key internal stakeholders and partners
      • Self-starter, ability to progress and deliver initiatives with little direction / oversight
      • Ambitious & driven; doesn’t settle for status quo and consistently looks for ways to improve
      • Bachelor’s degree or higher; at least 2 years of work experience in data visualization and analytics

      Nice to have:

      • Capital Markets experience, knowledge of Global Markets products (Fixed Income, FX, Commodities, Futures and Equities) or Corporate & Investment Banking businesses
      • Experience with client provided ranking and feedback such as scorecards and broker votes
      • Experience working in a trading floor environment
      • Ability to effectively communicate to senior management in a concise manner
      • Strong presentation skills, ability to effectively convey messaging
      • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information to key takeaways and themes for senior management
      • Experience in supporting senior leadership teams
      • Proficiency in SQL, Python and / or Alteryx

      The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $100,000- $155,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
