What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide technical support for UNICEF’s climate and environmental foundational data initiatives
- Maintain monitoring, reporting, and evaluation frameworks for the Children's Climate Risk Index - Disaster Risk Model (CCRI-DRM)
- Consolidate data and prepare progress reports for global coordination and stakeholders
- Develop capacity-building materials and conduct training sessions for staff on Climate Landscape Analysis for Children (CLAC)
- Support outreach and communication initiatives related to climate and environmental data for action
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Advanced university degree (Masters or higher) in environmental science, environmental policy, political science, communication, international relations, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in developing and implementing monitoring, reporting, and evaluation frameworks for international climate change and disaster risk reduction projects
- Expert knowledge in monitoring, reporting, and evaluation frameworks, procedures, and tools
- Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical climate concepts effectively
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of another official UN language is considered an asset
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience with UN organizations
- Demonstrated advanced data capabilities in climate, environment, energy, and disaster risk contexts
- Experience in project management and stakeholder engagement
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Experience in partnerships with scientific institutions or environmental organizations
