What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee medical coding for providers in the medical clinics
- Verify that medical documentation and coding is in compliance with guidelines
- Monitor for missing and incorrect charges
- Provide education and feedback to providers regarding their coding
- Answer coding questions and issues for Clinic Managers and Regional Business Office staff
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification status as CPC
- Two (2) years coding experience in a physician office
- Three (3) months ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding related experience, education or training
- Experience or training in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience or training in billing functions and Regional Business Office functions
