      Descriptions

      The Clinic Coordinator is a key role in creating a welcoming experience to the community we serve at our clinics. Whether it is greeting guests, registering and scheduling patients, or completing confirmation calls, the Clinic Coordinator sets the tone for our patient experience. This position requires working cooperatively and collaboratively with other team members to provide an excellent patient experience.

      Essential Functions

      • Create a welcoming experience for all patients entering the building.
      • Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in alignment with HIPAA regulations.
      • Register new patients and assist them in completing registration forms.
      • Obtain and enter accurate demographic information into organizations EHR.
      • Verify insurance and provide information regarding MCCs discount program.
      • Collect, record payments and discuss financial arrangements with patients.
      • Schedule appointments using MCCs scheduling protocols
      • Act as a liaison for the patients and the organization by directing calls appropriately and using sound judgement in handling calls, especially with upset patients.
      • Understand and implement basic de-escalation techniques
      • Understand when to escalate interactions to a supervisor.
      • Answer phones, screen patients, and respond to phone messages
      • Make outbound calls to reschedule appointments, respond to provider, clinical staff requests to call patients .
      • Maintains reception and front desk areas to ensure they are clean, presentable, and inviting.
      • Performs other related duties as assigned.

      Qualifications


      Education and Experience

      • High school diploma or equivalent required
      • Valid Drivers License and Vehicle required
      • General office skills required, including how to use typical office equipment, such as telephones, computers, fax machines and scanners
      • Bilingual Spanish/English or other fluencies preferred
      • Previous experience in customer service or health care setting preferred
      • Experience in EMR or data entry preferred
      • Associate Degree in health/human services, education or other related field preferred
